Gnathan the Gnome | Mystery Gnome-a-Long Mini Sets

  • £14.00

These yarn sets have been designed to use with the new Mystery Gnome-a-Long, designed by Sarah of Imagined Landscapes.

Here is what Sarah has to say about Gnathan, her new mystery Gnome (by clicking the red links, it will take you directly to Sarah's shops):

"🍄 Another mystery gnome! (Yes!) This one with gnotwork!

Another dose of whimsy and charm. Another doable mystery for your needles.

This gnome features textures and cables – hence the ‘gnotwork’ pun. Cables and textures and gnomes, oh my! (Oh, yes. It’s gonna be awesome.)

If you’re new to cables, don’t be intimidated! Cabling is just knitting and purling and you’re good at that already. Plus, I’ve got loads of tutorials to help you along the way.

Gnathan is locally known for leading themed hikes. “Mossy Walkies,” “A 20k Keeps the Doctor Away,” and “Scree Slopes for Bees” are some of his highest-rated rambles. Like many gnomes, he loves the outdoors so much because a toadstool house isn’t somewhere to spend 24 hours a day, even though they’re bigger on the inside.

The clues drop May 7-26th. When you buy this pattern, there’s a preKAL info PDF with dates, yarn needs, colour advice, and other tips.

The Gnot Just Another Gnome pattern is available on Ravelry and through my Payhip shop. Please note that if you buy through the Payhip shop it is extremely important that you enter your email when prompted or there is no way to alert you when clues are updated"

Sarah has designed THE MOST adorable Gnomes over the past few years, and her mystery Gnomes are the most fun things to make!

They use JUST 3x20g Mini skeins and are not only fun, but fast to make.  Trust me, you won't stop at making just one.

I have designed three different yarm combbinations inspired by both Gnathan's, and my, love of nature.

  1. Bluebird - a soft yellow, blue/green and blue
  2. Allium - natural, soft green and muted lilac
  3. Lichen & Moss - soft tan, muted green with purple speckles and a more vibrant moss green

In the pattern, the yarns will be described as C1, C2 and C3.

I recommend the following:

  • C1 - Mid tone
  • C2 - Darkest tone
  • C3 - Lightest tone

However, you can use them however you like!

Dyed using professional dyes and processes and painted by hand. As a result, no two skeins are identical although they are dyed in batches.

Every attempt has been made to remove all excess dye from the yarn, however a little may remain - particularly with dark or vivid colours. Therefore, I always advise that you handwash your items alone. Reshape whilst damp and dry flat.

Colours may vary between viewing monitors. Please do not place 100% reliance on the image that you see as being a full reflection of the yarn. Please convo me if you would like more information.
